+This stunning Antique Edwardian Suffragette brooch has been modelled in 18ct Yellow Gold and displays fine and delicate Canetille craftsmanship. The brooch is set with thee Amethysts and two Peridots which weigh 0.25ct each and also two magnificent Pearls.
Suffragette jewellery was worn to show one’s allegiance to the women’s Suffragette movement in the early 20th century and popularly consisted of Purple, Green and White stones which symbolised: Purple for Loyalty, White for Purity and Green for Hope.
A beautiful brooch which displays the wonderful design and craftsmanship of the time and has great sentiment attached.
