＋Antique Late Georgian period Lovely Quality Hand inked Silhouette in that traditional style featuring the image of a young boy in trousers standing upon working farmland whilst wearing a three quarter length, buttoned and flared pea coat, standing in a side on pose whilst holding a drawn Crop.
In Excellent condition the silhouette is finished with a gold ink wash to accent light and is mounted in original Birds Eye Maple Frame with gilt inner edge to original glaze, the reverse to the frame is intact with framers wooden backboard and later Victorian hand written paper label bearing the legend "George Edward Mumford - Solicitor, Bradford - Died 1895" the boy in the silhouette being George at a young age of around 8 years old.
The Frame measures 24.5 cm x 20 cm x 2.5 cm or 9.6 x 7.8 x 0.9 inches in dimension with the silhouette proper measuring 17.5 cm x 13 cm. or 6.8 x 5.1 inches.
A Lovely example of the period, well preserved and largely without sepia, foxing or damage.
